The spoon has the Makers Marks of The Sterling Silver Mfg. Co., Providence, RI 1909-1932. Marked STERLING.

Description: Sterling Souvenir Spoon - 5-5/8 in long. The front of this heavy spoon has Christopher Columbus's ship the Santa Maria in the bowl, a naval anchor, WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION and Comumbuss face on the finial. The reverse side has Queen Isabella, world map, bowl engraved H. H. J., Pat. Appld For and STERLING. This spoon appears to have the Makers Mark of Alvin Mfg. Co. but no documentation lists any makers of this spoon. This spoon is shown in the book Collectible Souvenir Spoons by Wayne Bednersh, page 167.
